I have been making lampwork beads for about three years now. I have taken some classes at the Eugene Glass School. I have become addicted to working with glass, it is now a passion. I own almost every flame work book available, so when not actually making the beads, I spend time looking at the beautiful beads in the books, trying to figure out how to accomplish the same.

Hatice's interest in unique and different types of jewelry led her to begin designing her own jewelry in 2000. On seeing significant interest in her glass bead and semi-precious stone designs, Hatice decided to elevate her work from the status of hobby to the professional level. Her work received great attention in Canada and she began taking special orders.

In 2005, Hatice was introduced to the flameworking technique and, thus, entered the magical world of glass. She studied with German glass artist, Michaela Maria Moeller at Istanbul's Glass Furnace.

She is continuing her glassworks in her Montreal studio.
